In chapter four the logical analysis and some advanced complexity theory topics of the network protocols are covered. In chapter five the students will cover the data structures and transformations in the network protocols, including basic data types and network-related data structures such as trees, lists, and graphs. In this chapter it will address the topics of algorithms, data structures, and fundamental concepts including sorting, searching, and graph algorithms. In chapter six, network-protocols analysis and design will be discussed. This chapter also includes an explanation of the protocols and application functions. In chapter seven, both theory and practical applications of network protocols will be covered. In this chapter, some advanced features of network protocols will also be discussed. In part two, the students are able to read multi-layered protocol stacks. In this second part, the students will learn how to practically implement the protocols. This includes writing the code to perform the functions and write packets. In the third part, the students are able to implement their own FSMs. A practical (and historically correct) UML model of the data transmitted and received in each round of the network protocol is also explained.
Part three describes the routing and forwarding aspects of the network protocols. It describes the conceptual and practical aspects of how each protocol constructs a forwarding process, and how the protocol encodes the data sent on the network. In this chapter, the students will learn how the network protocols process and monitor each network message and packet. In part four, the students are able to implement and apply the network protocols in Python. The students are able to understand sources of buffer overflow and DoS attacks and learn how to mitigate against such attacks. In addition, they will learn how to implement protocols in order to translate from packets to continuous stream.
The students are able to introduce themselves to the researchers and practitioners of the network protocols. They are able to present the fundamental parts and widely-used protocols. They are able to explain the algorithms and data structures used in the protocols. They are able to analyze the data structures and computational behavior of the various protocols. In addition, they are able to explain and discuss the theory in each chapter, and then apply that theory to write actual code. d2c66b5586
